Graduate Student Orientation was initiated to assist newly enrolled TAMIU students learn about the different resources on campus. Participating in this orientation will not only make them aware of the resources and tools available to them, but it also acts as a catalyst for them to begin planning their academic success in the various fields. Together with the Graduate School, TAMIU ARC aims at providing assistance to ensure our graduate students go beyond and successfully complete their degree.
Students are enrolled in The Graduate Student Orientation modules housed in Blackboard as soon as they are registered. Nestled under "my courses," students will have the liberty to complete and reference back to the content throughout their time in the program. TAMIU departments such as Financial Aid, Library Services and Counseling & Wellness present how to best use their services. Orientation ends most common FAQs complied by former graduate students and ARC staff, thus ensuring any confusion or uncertainty is eliminated.
