As soon as possible

Apply to the NCAA Eligibility Center. Go to http://eligibilitycenter.org/.  There is a charge for registering; however some may qualify for a fee waiver. Have your high school counselor send you high school transcripts to start the initial eligibility evaluation.

As soon as possible Take the ACT or SAT test as soon as possible. A sum score of 68 on the ACT or a score of 820 adding the verbal and math sections are the minimum scores that need to be achieved for eligibility purposes. Make sure that you select 9999 (NCAA Eligibility Center) and 009651(Texas A&M International University) on your test application when choosing places to have your score sent. You may take the test more than once and the best score in each category is used in tabulating your test score.

January 1 Apply for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA). The form can be obtained through your high school counselor or it can be filed online at https://studentaid.gov .
April Check the website Texas A&M International University (http://www.tamiu.edu/) for the summer orientation schedule. Sign up for the best date for you.
April, May, and June Sign and send in your housing contract.

June Have your high school counselor send your final official transcript to the NCAA Eligibility Center. Official transcripts must come directly from your high school to the NCAA Eligibility Center.
