Our Mission

Education is a lifelong learning process. It is critical that professionals stay up to date on new and emerging technologies in their respective fields to enchance their credentials. TAMIU's Continuing Education Department facilitates educational activities provided by our program that bring high-quality technical education to individual learners and organizations. 

Our department utilizes our top-notch faculty and industry experts to deliver superior knowledge and practical application scenarios to its professional development and continuing education experiences. Your success plan can be customized to deliver short courses, workshops, or conferences. Our online professional courses can be accessed through open enrollment, and customized to one's pace of learning. Enroll now and own your own "success!"

What We Can Offer

CE makes TAMIU educational resources available for non-credit education programs and conferences designed to promote lifelong learning, regardless of age, interest, or location.

TAMIU is a military friendly school.  We salute the men and women in our military and thank them for their service. The Office of Continuing Education partners with My Career Advancement Account (MYCAA).  MYCAA is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of financial assistance to eligible military spouses who are pursuing a license, certification or Associate’s degree in a portable career field and occupation.  For more information, please contact us at 956-326-3068 or email ce@tamiu.edu.

TAMIU faculty interested in conducting Continuing Education and/or professional development courses are encouraged to contact CE to discuss how we can work together. Please contact CE at 956.326.3068 or email ce@tamiu.edu.

Continuing Education is available to assist in the development of face-to-face programs in collaboration with academic departments. Would you like assistance with your next Conference or Workshop? We also provide event planning and management services to other University offices and academic departments.

TAMIU American Heart Association CPR Training Center can provide CPR/First Aid training for University departments.

Third Party Events

Be a Third Party Vendor. Third Party Vendors are those wishing to use TAMIU grounds to hold an event/course/training. they would do their own promotions, handle registrations,payments, and refunds, purchase their food( through ARAMARK), make  space reservations, and pay for space, technology assistance, police, and clean-up. any provider must clearly state the event is only being held at TAMIU and not sponsored by TAMIU.

  •  In the event that CEU's are involved, the vendor must collaborate with CE for proper CEU accountability.
  •  Faculty consulting and performing outside professional employment must submit an application and receive approval form the Department Head and the Chief Executive Officer of System Component.Please contact CE at 956.326.3068 or email ce@tamiu.edu.
