Colin Campbell graduated from the University of Port Elizabeth in 1992 with a Bachelor of Music in performing arts degree, and again in 1995 as Mater of Music, both of these, cum laude. He also obtained the Performers Licentiate Diploma in Organ from the University of South Africa in 1992 with distinction. He received the University of Port Elizabeth Council’s award for the most outstanding Master’s dissertation in any discipline in 1995. Colin studied with well-known organists in South Africa and furthered his organ studies in interpretation and improvisation in Utrecht, in the Netherlands with Jan Raas.

As a performing artist, he has appeared with some of the most noted orchestras in South Africa (both on piano and organ), during live radio broadcasts, and for youth concerto festivals. He has made several recordings for the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s national radio service and has given recitals as a solo artist and in chamber ensembles throughout South Africa, Namibia, Europe, and the USA with great critical acclaim.
