Orlando Medrano serves on the music faculty of Texas A&M International University, in Laredo, TX and Texas A&M University-Kingsville in Kingsville, TX, teaching horn and chamber music while maintaining an active public school teaching within the district of Roma ISD, in Roma, TX. Medrano is part of the Puerto Rico Summer Music Festival, an all-inclusive music festival composed mainly of Latinx members from all over North America, South America, and Europe, and is part its Artistic Committee. In addition to his freelance performances with regional orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout South Texas, Medrano is second horn of the Valley Symphony Orchestra.

A native of Roma, TX, Medrano is a graduate of Indiana University with a Masters Degree in Performance (M.M., 2017) from the prestigious Jacobs School of Music. Also, a graduate of Texas A&M University - Kingsville where he received a Bachelor of Music in Performance - summa cum laude (B.M., 2015). His teachers include Dale Clevenger, Dr. Jennifer Ratchford-Sholtis, Philip Stanton, and Dena Laurel.
