"WON 1st place in two years"

College of Education students from Texas A&M International University participated in Laredo's 2013 Polar Plunge event. This annual event raises money for the Special Olympics. Students raised pledges by being brave and daring enough to jump into the City pool as it was filled with frigid water! The event took place on Saturday, March 23, 2013, when the temperature was 57 degrees and a wind speed of 16 miles per hour! The College of Education team received a trophy for raising the highest amount of money for the event. Pictured below is the award-winning Polar Plunge team!
