Personal Enrichment Dimension

The goal of a Personal Enrichment experience is to be active in identifying and balancing intellectual, interpersonal and physical pursuits.  Personal Enrichment activities expand students’ horizons intellectually, physically, socially, culturally, emotionally and/or spiritually. 

After successfully completing this dimension, students will gain an understanding of involvement opportunities, develop leadership potential, and become well-rounded individuals.

In order to complete the Personal Enrichment Dimension, a student must complete three (3) items listed under the Entering Stage. The items listed below are currently considered as part of the Entering Stage of the Personal Enrichment Dimension. In order to mark these items as complete, please visit tamiu.collegiatelink.net.

  • Art/Cultural Event Attendance (Encanto Espanol, Las Posadas, Guitarras de Navidad, Laredo Philharmonic Orchestra, etc.)
  • Campus Activities Board Event Participation
  • Involvement Week Participation (Fall)
  • Guest Lecture Attendance
  • Lamar Bruni Vergara Academic Conference Attendance (Spring)
  • Attend One (1) SOLE Leadership Series Program
  • Make a Difference Week Participation (Fall)
  • Spirit Week Participation (Spring)
  • Student Organization Membership
  • Western Hemispheric Trade Center Conference Attendance (Spring)
  • Welcome Week Participation (Fall)
  • Item from Engagement Stage can be substituted for one item listed above
Engagement Stage

In order to complete the Personal Enrichment Dimension, a student must complete two (2) items listed under the Engagement Stage.   • Campus Activities Board Officer
  • Freshman Leadership Organization Program Completion
  • Lamar Bruni Vergara Academic Conference Presentation
  • Orientation Leader Membership
  • Dean's List Notification/Recognition

  • Participate in SOLE Leadership Summit (Fall)
  • Tutor with University Learning Center
  • Writing Consultant with the TAMIU Writing Center
