The Texas Center provides leadership and support to Texas border communities in their economic development efforts,
including activities in the areas of business development, education, health care, public administration, and the environment.
The Texas Center designs and carries out activities in these principal areas |:
Development and maintenance of a U.S.-Mexico border socio-economic database
Dissemination of database information to public and private sector users
Border economic and business development related research and planning
Education, training, and technical assistance to border industrial, commercial, and governmental entities
The Center for the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade is a unique, leading research facility that along with its allied components
and key contacts throughout the Western Hemisphere provides current and relevant information about issues dealing with trade and
commerce that affect its constituents in the Hemisphere.
The CSWHT carries out activities in these principal areas |:
Conducts conferences, seminars and certification programs dealing with Western Hemispheric topics.
Encourages and facilitates visiting lectures, and student and faculty exchanges from around the Hemisphere
Through the
Western Hemispheric Trade Information Center
provides an electronic repository of textual data for the sole purpose of educational research.
This data is available in searchable full-text databases.
Publishes the
International Trade Journal (ITJ)
A quarterly Journal of high professional standards devoted to both the theoretical and practical aspects of business and economic issues in the
Western Hemisphere. It is a refereed Journal intended for the exchange of ideas among academicians, government officials, and practitioners
working in the Western Hemisphere
