ENGL 4303
Women in Shakespeare.
Three semester hours.
Shakespeare’s dramatic and poetic technique is examined in the context of his focus on women’s issues and roles in society. Readings of selected plays and non-dramatic poems will relate Shakespeare’s interpretations of feminine power and potential in his own time to contemporary perspectives. Prerequisite: Three hours of sophomore literature or the consent of instructor.
