NURS 2414
Pathophysiology and Pharmacology
Four semester hours, theory only. (FL)
This course is a comprehensive study of underlying concepts common to the major pathophysiologic processes of the body. Emphasis is placed upon the pathophysiological concepts essential for understanding the evidence-based rationale for safe therapeutic and preventive nursing interventions for diverse populations. Pharmacology and ethnopharmacology will be included in the study of various pathophysiologic processes. Prerequisite: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75; a minimum science GPA of 2.75; and completion of the nursing entrance exam.
