NURS 3525
Childbearing and Women's Health Nursing.
Five semester hours, three theory, two clinical. (SP)
This course focuses on clinical application of the nursing process in providing culturally specific care to childbearing women, neonates, and their family systems. Clinical experiences provide students with the opportunity to apply culturally specific patient-centered care within childbearing, family-client systems and women's health across the lifespan. Critical decision making health promotion, family-centered care and cultural diversity are discussed. Prerequisite: Admission into the BSN program.
