PSYC 5370
Cognitive Science.
Three semester hours.
Familiarizes the student with a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches to the scientific study of intelligent thought and behavior in humans, animals, and machines. Students will explore the intricacies of the human mind, broadly defined, by approaching it from the fields of cognitive psychology, social cognition, artificial intelligence, linguistics, neuroscience, philosophy, and evolutionary psychology. Prerequisite: Graduate standing, or permission of the instructor.
