COMM 2318 (SPCH 1318)
Interpersonal Communication.
Three semester hours.
The course examines the fundamental role of communication in establishing and maintaining personal relationships. By surveying the leading research and theories in interpersonal communication, students explore theoretical perspectives on how individuals enter into, maintain, and terminate relationships. Conceptual perspectives examined will include communicative competence, relational development, interaction process, codes, and context. Prerequisites: COMM 1300, COMM 1311, or COMM 1315.
