TAMIU Spring 2022 Commencement Program

DISTINGUISHEDSTUDENT SCHOLARS Anaiz D. Martínez College of Nursing and Health Sciences Anaiz D. Martínez is the daughter of parents David and Rosalinda Martínez. She is a 2019 graduate of the J. B. Alexander Magnet Program. Today, she earns a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders, completing her degree in three years, summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. While a student at TAMIU, Anaiz served as treasurer for the National Student Speech Lan- guage and Hearing Association Organization, and was member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She traveled to Brazil as a Reading the Globe Ambassador during her freshman year and received the Dustdevil Pride Scholarship, Presidential Volunteer Service Award, and has been named to the Dean’s List every semester of her undergraduate experience. Anaiz has also completed 25 Observation hours along with 25 Clinical hours under ASHA- certified Speech Language Pathologists that certify her towards her SLPA Licensure. Upon graduation, Anaiz plans to pursue her Master’s degree at UTHealth-San Antonio in Speech Language Pathology. Her longtime goal is to become a certified Speech Language Pathologist, CCC-SLP.
