Incoming Dustdevils in the Rio Grande Valley, Eagle Pass Invited to Meet with TAMIU Reps

New incoming and continuing Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) students residing in the Rio Grande Valley and Eagle Pass will have a chance to meet with representatives from TAMIU.  

University representatives are hitting the road this summer where they’ll be visiting both current and future Dustdevils in their hometowns and surrounding areas.

During their “Unfinished Business” summer tour event, representatives will complete last-minute admission processes, meet with financial aid advisors, apply for on-campus housing, sign-up for New Student Orientation, learn about student aid opportunities and complete on-site registration for their Fall 2021 courses at the University.

University staff members will be on-site at the following locations:

  • Monday, June 28 from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.: Zapata County Technical and Advanced Education Center, 605 N. U.S. Hwy 83 (Zapata, TX)
  • Monday, June 28 from 5 – 7 p.m.: Pizza Hut, 229 E. Grant St. (Roma, TX)
  • Tuesday, June 29 from 1 – 3 p.m.: Rudy’s BBQ, 2780 N. Expy #77-83 (Brownsville, TX)
  • Tuesday, June 29 from 6 – 8 p.m.: South Texas College – Pecan Campus, Building H – Student Activities, Room 216 (McAllen, TX)
  • Wednesday, June 30 from 1 – 3 p.m.: South Texas College – Starr Campus, Building H – Event Center, Room 1.502 (Rio Grande City, TX)
  • Thursday, July 1 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Southwest Texas Junior College, Building F #120 (Eagle Pass, TX)

Individuals are encouraged to sign-up for one of the upcoming events at https://go.tamiu.edu/unfinished-business. Registered participants will also receive a prize after registering and attending the event.

TAMIU’s Fall 2021 plans are focused on a return to a full and vibrant on-campus experience for all students, faculty and staff at its 300-acre northeast Laredo campus. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 23, 2021.
