Institutional Recognition v The New York Times reported on a Stanford Equality Opportunity Project that ranked TAMIU among the top three nationally and number 1 in Texas in overall Upward Mobility Income Rate. v The American Council for Education, in their report “Minority Serving Institutions as Engines of Upward Mobility” ranked us first in Texas and among the top nationally in increasing economic status or income mobility. v Zippia singled us out as one of the best colleges for getting a job. We are ranked eighth in Texas and the only A&M Institution in the Top Ten. As mentioned earlier, in 2016, over 80% of our graduates either had a job or were enrolled in graduate school. v We were ranked among the state’s top 20 Public Schools and Best Western Regional Universities. This is the first time we have been ranked by U.S. News and World Report.
