Faculty Recognition v Jerry Thompson received multiple nominations and accolades for his book “Tejano Tiger: Jose de los Santos Benavides and the Texas Mexico Borderlands, 1823- 1891,” including a Pulitzer Prize nomination. v José (Pepe) Cardona-López was selected as a Regent’s Professor. v Runchang Lin was elected to the Chancellor’s Academy of Teacher Educators. v Colin Campbell received a Texas Emmy for the documentary “Rhapsody on the Rio Grande: a Confluence of Cultures”.
