New TAMIU Scholarship Endowment

New TAMIU Scholarship Endowment

The family of Lupita Ramirez and the Villa San Agustin de Laredo Genealogical Society (VSALGS) has established a $25,000 Scholarship Endowment in her  honor at Texas A&M International University.  Back, left to right, are Joe Trevino, VSALGS president; Emmy A. Ramirez (granddaughter, Roberto D.  Ramirez, son and Dr. Ray Keck, TAMIU president.  In front are Manuel G. Ramirez, Lupita Ramirez' husband, and Estella R. Quintanilla, her daughter.

2nd Annual Estate and Financial
Planner's Event at TAMIU Dec. 2

Texas A&M International University will host its Second Annual Estate and Financial Planners' Luncheon at TAMIU's Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 111 on Friday, Dec. 2 at 12 noon.

Hosted by the University's Office for Institutional Advancement, the luncheon and presentation will feature Maria L. Robinson, CPA, CTP and director of Financial Planning for The Texas A&M University System.

9th Annual Las Posadas
Returns to TAMIU Dec. 2

Texas A&M International University Ballet Folklórico dancers perform a traditional dance from Zacatecas, México during Las Posadas.  This is the 9th year the TAMIU Ballet Folklórico presents Las Posadas.  This year’s event takes place on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at TAMIU’s Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. Admission is free.

Take part in the ageless tale of Las Posadas Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Texas A&M International University Center for the Fine and Performing Arts.

This event is free and open to the public and presented by the TAMIU Ballet Folklórico. Families are encouraged to come and bring their children.

Guitarras de Navidad Recital
At TAMIU, Wednesday, Dec. 7

Let the sounds of Guitarras de Navidad start the transition to the holiday season. The fifth annual Christmas guitar concert will be held at the Texas A&M International University Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall, Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

This event, sponsored by TAMIU, the Women's City Club and the County of Webb, is free and open to the public.

TAMIU Planetarium Offers New Shows

Take a groovy trip through space to your youth and back with "Rock Hall of Fame" or watch "Force 5" and experience Mother Nature's violent storms in the comfort of the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Lamar Bruni Vergara Science Center (LBVSC) Planetarium.
