First Baby Announcement Given to the TAMIU Alumni Association Greg was born July 7th. He weighted 7 lbs and was 18.5 in long. Congratulations to Greg and Priscilla Salinas '95, '97 |
Engagement Announcement Jessica Pena and Victor Hugo Alvarado '04 were married on August 6, 2005. Victor received a BSN in 2004 and is currently working as a registered nurse. Jessica is employed as an associate attorney at Alvarez, Notzon & Gutierrez, LLP. |

Wedding Bells Are Ringing! Connie Tobias married Jesus Martinez on August 13th. Connie received BA in 2003 and currently employed with Cynthia Ellis, CPA in McAllen. |
Ramon T. Juarez received his BBA in 1986 and is employed as the assistant port director for the Port of Laredo under the U. S. Customs and Border Protection Department of Homeland Security. Recently, he was honored by the United Way of Laredo as volunteer of the week. He is active with the Laredo Development Foundation, the Webb County International Trade Committee, San Martin de Porres Catholic Church and Alexander High School. |

Anna Yvette Garza-de Leon, one of our recent DD Hachar Honors Scholarship Recipients graduated this May. Yvette surprised her family by completing her degree in 3 years. She received her BSEED and will be teaching 4th grade at Fasken Elementary. |

Oscar H. Garza received his BBA in 1977. He is a retired former assistant chief patrol agent for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U. S. Border Patrol in the Laredo Sector. Garza also served in the U.S. Army. Currently, he serves on the board of directors for Laredo Medical Center, Laredo Federal Credit Union, Laredo Elderly Services, and Mexican Consul's Instituto Cultural de Laredo. |

Elisa Cuellar Alvarado '01 graduated June 4th from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She is currently living in Pasadena, CA pursuing her residency at Huntington Hospital. |
