A&M International Hosts Lecture on Systems Design

Texas A&M International University will host a free presentation on "Thinking About Systems Design and Redesign" on Thursday, November 6 from 5 - 6 p.m. in Pellegrino Hall room 115 on the University's main campus, 5201 University Boulevard. Members of the community are invited to attend the free presentation.

Guest presenter will be Dr. Lawrence L. Schkade, Ashbel Smith Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Dr. Schkade is internationally recognized for his research on systems theory, human information processing, artificial intelligence, and computer disaster recovery. He has authored over 30 books, book chapters and monographs and over 100 research articles. Dr. Schkade is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Fellow and past national president of the Decision Sciences Institute, a member of ten scholarly and research honor societies, and the recipient of numerous awards, including a Distinguished Teaching Award.

The presentation is sponsored by the University's Student Systems Group, a student organization which serves as a link between the academic and business world through affiliations with professional information resource management association, and the Computer Information Systems 5380 class.
