High school students who are beginning to target their higher education goals should make plans to attend Saturday's Preview Day '98 at Texas A&M International University.

Betty Momayezi, Director of Enrollment Management, said the event offers students and their parents a chance to visit the University's new $80 million campus and get to know programs and people at the University.

"Preview Day is about giving students a chance to look into the future, specifically their future, and how A&M International, Texas' fastest growing university, can play a leading role in the future," Momayezi explained.

She said the event begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Kinesiology Building and will conclude around 1 p.m. with a cookout. The initiative will provide students with a chance to meet faculty, tour the campus, check into degree programs and review financial aid assistance.

"In addition to information and representatives from each of our four colleges, we'll have prizes, a Texas-sized cookout and a look into career planning and placement as well," she said.

Momayezi said the event has proven popular in the past as a one-stop event that provides all information and contacts that students need to consider exploring A&M International for their undergraduate degree.

"With 26 undergraduate degrees, a gifted faculty, a growing campus, ready financial aid, and a student body that comes from all around the world and right around the corner, we believe A&M International is the regional university of choice and look forward to meeting potential students and their parents," she said.

Student interested in attending Preview Day '98 should call the Office of Enrollment Management at 956.326.2270.

Office hours are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
