Music lovers should make plans to attend a piano recital at Texas A&M International University Student Center Auditorium, room 236, Saturday, April 29 at 6 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.

“This is a piano recital given by an accomplished TAMIU student pianist, Robert J. Flores. Even though his major is biology, not music, he happens to be a very competent pianist and composer and he wants to give a recital. It’s his way of saying ‘Goodbye’ to his family and friends in Laredo before going off to start medical school at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas this fall,” explained Dr. Fritz Gechter, TAMIU associate professor of music/piano.

“He will play works by several composers, including one of his favorites, Sergei Rachmaninoff,” continued Dr. Gechter.
