EduMed Ranks TAMIU Nursing Programs Among Tops

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) College of Nursing and Health Sciences' Nursing programs earned top spots in the latest rankings released by online source EduMed.

The rankings highlight the top programs based on a combination of factors such as affordability, accessibility, and commitment to student success.

In its recently released 2023-24 academic year rankings, EduMed recognized TAMIU's Nursing programs in the following categories:

1st in Best RN to MSN Programs in Texas for 2024 (Online & Campus)

3rd in Most Affordable Online RN to MSN Programs for 2024

11th in Best BSN Programs in Texas for 2024 (Online & Campus)

TAMIU Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and Dr. F.M. Canseco School of Nursing said program quality and faculty excellence in teaching contributed to the top ranking placements.

"We are extremely proud of our program offerings at the Dr. F.M. Canseco School of Nursing and these rankings are a testament to our faculty's commitment, dedication, and passion in teaching. Our programs are accessible and affordable and students in our online programs feel connected to TAMIU through frequent and synchronized one-to-one interactions with our faculty while learning remotely, " Dr. Torregosa explained.

TAMIU's College of Nursing and Health Sciences offers bachelor's degrees in Nursing, Kinesiology, Communication Science Disorders, Public Health and two master's degrees in Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Administration.

The undergraduate and graduate programs in the Dr. F. M. Canseco School of Nursing in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences are accredited by the Texas Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

The College boasts a 90% through 100% National Certification Exam pass rate for FNP first-time test-takers for the past four years. Student to professor ratio is 6:1 for clinicals, and all FNP nursing graduates are offered jobs by graduation.

Most recently, TAMIU's Online RN to BSN Program ranked second among the Best Online RN to BSN Programs in Texas in rankings released by online source Registered Nursing.
