Students planning to attend Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) this Fall attended a special Saturday Open House to help complete any unfinished business before the semester begins this Monday, Aug. 28.

“Unfinished Business: A TAMIU Open House” was held Saturday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center (ZSC). The free event assisted students and their families in completing their plans  for a successful semester.

Students registered for classes and met with other offices, including Admissions, Business Office, Financial Aid, Testing, and more. Classes began Monday and late registration continues through Sept. 1, 2023.

The Fall Semester at TAMIU brings new courses, events, experiences, and opportunities for students…and members of the community at large. To learn more about these exciting developments, visit go.tamiu.edu/fallpreview.

Additionally, the “Closer Than Ever” program helps students return to the University and determines the best options available to complete their degree. Interested returning students take their first steps to do so by visiting https://www.tamiu.edu/closerthanever/

As a result of actions taken by the Texas Legislature to address affordability in higher education, all TAMIU resident undergraduate academic costs, including tuition, mandatory academic fees, all academic-related general fees, and college course fees, have been frozen for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years at TAMIU. The University has not raised tuition and fees since 2021.

University news and information can also be found online at tamiu.edu and on TAMIU’s social channels on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
