For the second year in a row, TAMIU Open House at LC, an opportunity for Laredo College (LC) students to explore their transfer opportunities at their hometown University, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. outside the LC Kazen Center.

LC students can meet with TAMIU service representatives from admissions, financial aid, housing, the testing center, student engagement offices, and more. Additionally, academic representatives from the University's six Colleges and Schools will be present.

Mirian Granados, director of the TAMIU's Office of Recruitment and School Relations, affirmed the importance of hosting these collaborative opportunities to support student success.

"Hosting an open house at Laredo College presents a valuable opportunity for TAMIU to engage with local incoming transfer students. It emphasizes the University's commitment to smoothening the transition for these students by offering crucial support right from the start," Granados said.

She added, "This approach prepares them academically and integrates them into the TAMIU community, setting a positive trajectory for their University experience."
