This Fall, Books IncludED Helps TAMIU Students Save Money

This Fall at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), students can save money on their books and materials purchases through the University’s TAMIU Books IncludED program.

The program, initially launched and funded with CARES funding during the Pandemic, now conveniently folds costs for required books and course materials into the semester’s tuition and fees. This ensures that enrolled, degree-seeking students have all materials on Day One of classes, Monday, Aug. 22, 2022.

Because of TAMIU’s low, per-semester credit hour charge, many students will receive all required digital books and materials for about the cost of a new textbook.

To secure the highest possible savings for all students, TAMIU Books IncludED is an “all-in” or “all-out” option for each semester.  Supporting or consumable course materials like art supplies, lab kits or scrubs are generally not included.  Students who choose to opt out will be credited the Books IncludED fee, but will be responsible for obtaining books and course materials independently.

The move to TAMIU Books IncludED is the latest initiative by the University to keep TAMIU accessible, affordable, and exceptional.  Earlier this summer the University’s Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System also voted not to increase Fall tuition and mandatory fees, providing students and their parents with another savings opportunity.

A dedicated website with additional information and important links is available.  It includes an FAQ and step-by-step guidance to how the program works and is located at go.tamiu.edu/BooksIncludED.
