Curriculum and Goals

The doctoral program is a 4-year, cohort-based hybrid (face-to-face and online) program. Its curriculum requires courses in criminal justice theory, quantitative research methods and statistics, as well as law and policy, with an emphasis on homeland security and border issues. The program aims to produce graduates that have the theoretical knowledge, actual and practical experience, and marketable skills to assume high level leadership roles in various areas of criminal justice practice such as those found in academia, government, and the private sector.
